Wanted to get people’s thoughts on 3 Ricky Carmichael scenarios and whether he would have won under the following conditions:
1. In 2004, Carmichael rode a 4-stroke outdoors for the first time and won every moto. If he’d done it on a two-stroke, do you think he still would have won the title?

2. In 2005, Stewart struggled on the two-stroke and failed to win a moto. If Carmichael had stuck with the two-stroke that year, would he have endured the same fate?

3. In 2006, no two-stroke won any of the SX main events that year. With that being said, the top 2 riders I can remember on two-strokes that year were Vuillemin (who was having issues with his new team) and McGrath (who wasn’t even a full-time rider). Would Carmichael have won any main events that year if he were on a two-stroke?

1) Yes
2) Always thought about this myself. Would have loved for them to have both been on 2 or even 4 strokes that year.
3) Yes.
