Ok, finally got the 97 Factory look sorted. Im pumped about it, always loved the purple craze of the mid 90's. As always, Frank from Evo-Mx does an awesome job on his graphics and seat kits, top quality stuff.

That is crazy good Matt!!!! It's nearly the same as my 97 kx250 project I've got going on at the min. Do I have to email frank to get one of these slicker kits? They look great!!!

Are you planning to stick with this look for a while?

If so all I would do is go back to plain silver ano on the rims, and maybe strip the pipe of plating.

I love it!

Yeah, is Frank making those seat covers???

On a related note: I've made a tiny bit of progress on my 96 kx250.

Yeah i agree. .silver rims would look better but there's no money for another set unfortunately. Got a basketcase 89 yz250 to do next.
I thought about de-plating the pipe but haven't tried it yet.

Yes Frank at Evo-Mx is making this graphics and seat cover kit. Its not up on their website yet but you should be able to order it, just let him know you saw my bike.

Your 96 is looking good Ryan. A few of the junior riders on Facebook dont appreciate the purple, but for me the mid 90's purple craze was one of the best era's of mx.

Fantastic.

I loved my '96 KX80 - and being unique to one year makes the purple sweet.

Yeah, im leaning towards powder coating too.

What really sparked my interest when i saw the ebay ad was that it had the stock graphics and seat cover (no tears) still. Any bike that still has the stock graphics after so long couldn't be that worn. It hasnt been ridden hard, but there are still a few dings on the fork uppers that i will have to cover up with some stickers and the rims are shot, but everything is still quite tight.

I bought this seat cover to bling it up a bit.

Did you end up using this seat cover ? If not please email me at mawestbury@gmail.com

If you are looking for a Pro Circuit rear shock for a 1997 KX250....I have one I do not need. I also have the valving kit for it, and a brand new Race Tech spring as well that was never installed. I will trade for parts for a 97 Kx 125, or sell if the price is right. I also have a white numberplate vented, new in plastic, and a rear fender new in platstic as well for that kx 250 I no longer have a use for. I am looking for a set of front shocks for my kx 125. I think 95 to 01 fit my bike if I remember right. Thanks, and ohh......great work on the bike. Looks amazing ! Good to see 2 strokes getting some love haha : )
