I was a Honda guy back in this time frame, but the 90”s YZ”s have grown on me. Earlier this winter an ad popped up local to me selling a very clapped out 94 YZ250. As usual the photos were poor but I could tell it was hammered. I thought I seen a sparkle on the subframe welds... ... so I went to take a look at it. As suspected the bike was junk, I was not looking for another project and this bike was a major project. I told the seller, you have a parts bike, but he would not budge on the price and was not willing to part it out. He was asking way too much for the bike, I said have a nice day but let me know if you decide to part it out. 2 months went by, he changed his ad to parting the bike, but he never contacted me! . So I contact him again and go work out a deal for some parts off the bike. Here is what patience and not being a dick to the kid can result in....
Very clean Ti subframe, Devol linkage and Boyesen rad valve. At some point somebody through a lot of aftermarket parts on this bike. Bike had a PC pipe & silencer but they were hammered beyond repair.
