So I'm in the process of buying a 91 cr250 for $100. It's set up for hill climbing right now, but needs some parts. Does anyone know what parts interchange with other years? Would like to find a swing arm that isn't extended to ride Moto.

Fleabay usually has all the parts you need although you really never know the real condition until it shows up at your door.

pretty sure the 90' and 91' swingarms were the same (maybe later years too) - but check any of the part numbers with any of the OEM parts finders on the web.

CR500 from 90-01 are basically the 90-91 CR250R. Lots of part available.

I have a swingarm from a 91 CR 500, not sure if they are the same or not.

You have some work ahead of you there but fantastic you are going to save it. They are really a great bike. I love the HPP motors. Good usable power over a broad range. I would do a fork conversion to some later Honda Twin chamber 47mm forks. The newer the better. 90/91 CR250 Swingarm is the same. I believe the 91/92 CR125 swingarm is also the same. The 91 to 2001 CR500 swingarm will also work. There was a change in the CR500 swingarm somewhere through the mid 90s. If you put a later swingarm from a 500 on make sure you also use the corresponding linkage, then it will all work on your 250. Keep us posted on the build up.
