Just started tearing down a 1988 RM250. I'll post some photos soon.

One question: is the primary gear nut a left or right hand thread?

Thanks,

Mike

Factory manual makes no reference to reverse threads when removing primary gear nut, I would assume normal threads

Sandman,

Thanks. I just received a factory manual in the mail (thanks ebay) and it is somewhat confusing. The manual says nothing about it being a left hand thread in the section discussing removal but on page 34 where it discusses installation it mentions that it is a left hand thread.

The Clymer manual I just received says it is left handed so I'll try that first and see if it breaks loose.

Thanks. Suzuki needs better editors.

I read through your 88 RM250 build thread several times. Very nice job. Lots of good tips in there for me.
