I am the second owner of this bike. Original owner, owned the local Yamaha shop.
It has a long rod kit installed along with the YZ60 ignition and other Yamaha wrench reports recommendations.
Thinking of letting it go since I have had it a few years and can’t seem to find the time to work on it.

What benefit does the 60 ignition have in a 250?

Ive done a similar build, but add a Lectron Carb, DG Pipe and full Disc Brake front end off a 1984 CR250

Love it. Here's a few pics of mine. Did you notice much difference with the carb swap? Is your cylinder stock?

I've got Boysen reeds, DG silencer, added an Ohlins shock, and rest is stock.

you would remember if it was an 82. 1st year water cooled with radiator on front forks, 1st year linkage rear suspension.

Here's my 83' 250K. The rebuild started as a simple clean up... that plan has changed!
