Hello all,
Curious if anyone has any good info on a 1983 Honda CR60? I purchased one a while back as a project for my 4-year old boy and I to do out in the garage. WE (I'm not doing any of this solo...I want it to be OUR project) started taking it apart over the weekend. The bikes DOES run, has really good compression, shifts thru each gear really well, etc. SO I'm thinking I just leave the motor alone for now. So my question is, does anyone have any good info as far as part sourcing (other than eBay of course) and especially maybe what other parts might fit this bike? Such as footpegs, these stockers are all sorts of mangled....does IMS or PC or etc. make a set of pegs for say a XXX year RM80 that randomly happen to fit this bike? Or what about gas caps? What about wheels/forks/shock...any good mods/swap outs to do here?
Thanks in advance!!!

I have been casually looking for one of these for awhile now! They are such sweet little bikes.
What is your plan for it?
Ebay & patience seems to be about the best place for parts.
The plan, make it a jaw dropper haha. I have A LOT of ideas, hopefully I stay patient enough to follow thru with all of them haha.
Stay tuned...
I always wondered why Honda stopped making it so quickly after it had to be a big investment to build.
Remove all- Chassis: clean, grease, lube.
BUT, my 1st impression- coming from a Dads POV, is the frame.
Stand back, looks well used.
Just an idea, but-----
Strip it and let your son spray bomb it- over & over.
Assemble, & then let him see the Big impact he had on the project.
Simple task could yield large dividends.
Or u could let him drive w/ you & drop off @ powdercoater. How long's that memory gonna last?
Teach him how to polish aluminum. BAM!! that's a big swingarm.
These are Dad thoughts, not museum quality resto. thoughts.
Hope you create memories for life.
Kids need to see results now.esp. in 2017. Sandpaper not Sellphone those things are fast.
My daughter sleeps w/ her phone i couldn't get her to windex my helmet if i tried to
