Im going through the motor on a 82' Ktm 495 currently bringing it back to rider status and just wanted to reach out to anyone that may have parts they wanted to sell to a good home. Specifically right now I am in need of a correct Motoplat dual plug coil and a kick start SHAFT with good splines.
Looking very forward to seeing wbat this bike can do! Thanks

Yes, Im going to post there as well. KtmTalk Oldies but Goodies was a good source when I restored my Ktm 540 several years back.

The vintage KTM facebook page might be a good place to look also. I'd strongly consider an aftermarket ignition to replace the entire Motosplat.

Yes, like Rocky said, the vintage KTM groups on Facebook are the way to go. I have a 1986 KTM 250MX and I can't even tell you how helpful and knowledgeable guys in those groups are. Each group has about 1,600 members. If you "don't do the Facebook thing", well here is a reason to. Aside from these groups, there are SO many other awesome vintage moto groups and pages to be found...

I've also ordered parts from Andre Horvath in Austria. Great customer service. If you have any questions, email him and he'll definitely contact you back. Certainly not the cheapest option though...
