Anyone out there interested in a really nice project bike? I payed way too much for it sight unseen many years ago. Was disappointed when it arrived and it got put on the far back burner. The flood last August got it and it needs to find a new home while it is salvageable. $350.00 to the first person who actually wants to restore it. If you just want it to part out or flip then move along, nothing to see here.

Ok I am just trying to work out the specifics to get it to WA. I have a friend in Dallas that can pick it up.

Nice! I got one of those when they came out, and my older brother raced one at Ponca in an exhibition race to promote them the year before their release.
As you stated, it was in your flood, but can it run? Locked up? It looks like a nice resto project I’d be interested in.....
But if I recall, you have a nice YZ 60 as well. Still in possession of it?

Shoot, I misread the title and thought it was a YZ60. I was looking for something to upgrade my daughter from her JR50. Unless the YZ50 is taller than the JR? I am not a flake, really

No worries, just let me know if still interested. The YZ50 was a one year bike for 1980. Taller than the JR and PW, a real mx bike with a clutch and 5 speed tranny.

This was supposed to be a "like new" bike when I bought it back in the late 90's. Dark fuzzy basement Polaroids on the internet was all I had to go off of. When it got here somewhat disassembled and boxed to ship on UPS, first thing I noticed was the tank decals had been replaced and there was spray paint on the frame and engine. Went to kick the engine over and it made about one revolution before it felt like something hung up and stuck. I never pulled the top end to inspect. Now I'm sure it has water damage but it's even further down my list of priorities than ever before. Too nice and original to part out, would like to see someone give it a good home.

The YZ60 I had went to New Mexico or Arizona? Someone on here bought it for $1500.00.

Newman,
This bike still available? Have some guys heading to Diamond Don's from FL. that could pick it up.
