On each of the gearbox shafts there are two large bearings and two small ones. Does anyone know if the large bearings are meant to be a press fit into the cases, or are they designed to be a slip fit? A screw and bracket holds one bearing in place, and the other one also has a retainer to keep it in place, as if they are not meant to press in. But that can't be right, or can it? I can't assume anything because the cases are pretty worn out. I've bored and sleeved the main bearing counter bores already, where I know a press fit is intended, but I'm not sure what the gear box bearing fits are supposed to be. Thanks for reading.
