The stock shocks have a tiny rod from the clicker knob up at bottom to top of shaft where it opens/ closes a free bleed needle inside. This needle is not accessible without drilling out factory weld. Question is- is there a tiny spring in there to keep pressure on clicker??? I can feel clicking when tightening it but not releasing it.

I think I figured it out.. the pressure inside from nitrogen in resivoir keeps preload on the hidden valve inside shaft...not clicking on backing off clicker is sign no pressure inside.Nitrogen gone.
