1979 RM250N gearing

One of the best bikes ever! Got one as soon as they came out, was riding a '78 RM250C2 before that. The motor was awesome with a really brosd powerband. Stock gearing worked best on most tracks, but I'd run a couple teeth smaller on the rear sprocket on fast tracks with longer straights. The motor pulled the higher gearing with no problem. Got an '80 RM 250 when they came out and thought the motor wasn't nearly as good as the '79. Enjoy that great bike!
