Just finished up a few suspension projects that were lingering around the shop. Want to use a set of Ohlins remote res shocks on a 1979 CR125. Does anyone have any advise or pictures of where to mount the reservoirs. Up under the seat? Cross member? What about the exhaust side?
Also, The shock upper eye to main body distance is fairly short for the CR mount. How much grinding, cutting is involved? Again anyone with some pictures would be very helpful. Thanks, Brad

Huge problem locating remotes on these bikes! For my 79 250 I made aluminum reservoirs for a set of Fox Factory shocks. The left one is under the seat and clamped to the short crossmember above the air box. I made the brackets pictured bolted to the air box for the right res. Used standard hose clamp to run behind that bracket and sandwiches the reservoir between curved rubber frame cushions. I trimmed the back side radius off of the cushion to rest flat against brackets.
I hope that maybe this helps you and maybe even gives you a better idea than mine for resolving!
Cheers

Not a 125, but its one way to place them.
Please post some pictures when you have mounted them.
I will face the same problem on my CR250 -79, now i have piggybacks from another bike
