1977 PE 250 questions

I am in the process of a tear down on a 77 PE 250. Does anyone know what parts are interchangeable with the RM250? Pipe and silencer specifically. I got such a crazy deal on this bike that I would like to make it a vintage racer if I'm not up against too much. Thanks in advance

I believe you want to change the ignition and head also to wake it up.Cool bike

I was wondering that as well. I know the PE was down on power compared to the RM and wondered if it was a simple head swap. And ignition. Thank you

The easiest and cheapest hot set up for the 77 Suz PE 250 for woods riding is to simply swap out the head for a 77 RM 250 and open up the stock silencer. Speaking from personal experience. Not a big fan of Japanese vintage enduros but this bike is/was one of my favorite.
