A little respect, Bobby. This guy ruled the expert class in Florida for many years abou the same time you were killing it in Cali.

Westerman was my hero. Seriously. All us B and C guys wanted to be him. Flat out hauled ass on a CR125.

Damn!!!!!!!!!! My 1st motocross hero!!!!!!

1975 my 1st race was at the Orlando Sports stadium. I sat on the line watching Robert and David Horn beat each other up for a full 20 minutes in the 100cc class. I was sitting on the line scared to death. Then it got worse..........This huge guy (Randy Groves) pushes the #12 Elsinore up to the forward falling ,one piece starting gate on my left..........then Horn's mechanic pushes his #48 Elsinore up to the line on my right................Robert and David finish 1 - 2 and both haul ass around the gate and stop right behind me. Someone grabs both 100cc sleeved down CRs and they both jump on thier 125cc CR's on each side of me. I remember Horn wearing all black with a full face helmet and a flip up shield. I just glanced at him, not wanting to make eye contact!!!!!! I looked back to the left and must have been staring in awe at Robert. He was drinking some water and held it out and said " You want some" ?..........I about shit I was so scared. I remember looking straight ahead for the rest of the time on the gate. When it fell........2 CRs jumped out ahead of me, slammed into each other and took off...........I suspect they finshed 1-2 again in that 20 minute moto. I finished 11th and remember being lapped twice. Back to back 20 minute motos..........I guess you guys were lucky there were 40 bikes in each class............so you got an extra minute or two rest between motos while the track cleared......... I think riders were a little harder back then.

Robert ............Thanks for that memory..........AND WRITE IN CAPS ALL YOU WANT !!!!!!!!!!!!

Westerman was the shit in Fl in the 70's. Didn't you beat Marty Smith in a moto? Remember Bobby Crouch? He was the best man at my wedding.

Who won the 100 and 125 Expert classes at the NMA National at Orlando Sports Stadium in '74? Robert, I also ran the '76 125 Nationals. What number did you end up with for '77?

I'm confused. Two buddies of mine also rode the '76 Nationals (125 and 250). I looked at my Cycle News that showed the '77 National numbers and we all three took top 50 numbers.

Glenn Johnson 41
Barry Duncan 46
Glen Urquhart 49

Are you sure about the year?
