1973 Suzuki TS185 Resto/ Electrical System Upgrade Assistance

I’m restoring a ‘73 Suzuki TS185 K Sierra and I want to know if there is any way to upgrade the antiquated rectifier/ regulator(?) setup? It’s a weird looking setup that looks like technology from WWII. I saw a thread on this forum from sometime way back while searching for info on Google. Can anyone tell me if there is a modern rectifier/ regulator setup I can upgrade to, or some way to wire it up with something more modern. It’s a 6 volt setup. Also has anyone located a wiring diagram? Any help is very much appreciated.
