Had a guy bring one by from an estate sale.

It is rough cosmetically. It has had the black krylon paint treatment. Tank is rusted inside and out. Will need a rear fender and a seat cover.

Headlight and taillight are gone. Speedo and tack look intact.

Anybody have suggestons as to what it might be worth?

I know it isn't a vintage mx bike, but they were cool little bikes back in the day.

I will try and get some photos.

Yes, 1971 was the first year for the TS185. I have a 1972 TS185. Considering that I bought this running bike for $800, the bike you're describing sounds like it would only be worth a fraction of that. If you're interested in this bike to flip it (make money) then I'd say you'd be wasting your time and money. If you're interested in this bike purely just to bring it back to life and enjoy, then go for it!

I have the 1971 Suzuki TS185. Let me know if you can or can't see the picture I tried to add. My problem is that it looks like a part of the throttle cable that threads into the throttle assembly has broken off. Is that piece part of the throttle cable or is it a piece that I can buy and simply thread in for adjusting the cable. I need to get it fixed because it is rubbing on the threads of the hole where the cable hooks in on the handlebar.
