Really good pic Larry. Nice dirt; Merck was chargin'....
Was AJ Whiting a 100cc guy?
Glen Urquhart
Do you remember a guy named Sean Kelly (i think) from Texas . He used to race aginst Jeff Ward on his JWRP CR100. I remember as a kid in Australia I used to read Mincycle Action and used to idolise guys like him and Gene Mc Kay. What happened to those guys.
I had Noguchi kitted bikes at home. YZ80 A's and B's.

Do you remember anyone from the Houston area racing any of the scaled down Mini-Elsinores? I'm always on the lookout for some more of those, currently restoring a few of the Jeff Ward Racing Products minis (C&J frames) right now with the help of Scott at the Vintage Factory. One will be a show bike with the fully kitted FMF boost ported 100cc cylinder and porky head, the other will be back on the racetrack after thirty years of being tucked away. It's gonna be sweet!
Shaun Kelly is a personal trainer(?) in the Houston area last I heard. He used to kick Ward and Myerscough's asses at Rio in the mini classes. Myerscough came back to Rio in 2004 for our Vintage Pro-Am. He did a little ass kicking that day with a couple really good rides. That's who I idolized as a kid.
Pit Row
Cool pic Rob. What forks and triple clamps did you have on the Elsinore?
ROBERT WESTERMAN! You were my damn here in Florida in the 70's!
I've mentioned you on here a few times. Here is something that I always wanted to ask you:
Remember Terry Horn? What do you know about his fatal accident, and did it have any affect on you back then?
I still talk to Bailey about you to this day.
I used to look up to you like a hero.
WOW!
I also agree with Kippy, Karl and Todd being on this list
I think I also remember John Olten on them as well
Don't forget Rocky Folsom
Tim Hines "57"
Myerscough
Chris Heiser
Ward
Sam Storer
???????????
Mark Marriot, from Newport beach, on a Steve's cycle CR100 was pretty fast.
