I'm looking to get back on a dirt bike after probably 10 years, I've ridden road bikes during this time.
I'll mostly be single track/trails
I'm 218lbs and also gonna benefit from the exercise so that should change
I like the 125 because its lighter and I feel like I can work on it myself
The 250f is heavier but loaded with tech (good thing, kind of), with the yz250f I'm hearing a lot of bad things having to do with timing chains. I am not an mx guy pushing it to the limit, but the bike will be used, so who knows about the last guy.
I know about the 250fx bikes but they're not as readily available in my area, if one comes up tho I'll grab it. Looking at mostly dealers tho since I have a trade
So the current used bike I'm seeing is a 2019 yz250f or if I can find a 125x for as much under $6k as possible!

If the 250f is low on hours I don't think you'll have any issues with the timing chains...
Good luck!
