What's the offroad racing scene like in the Wichita area? Thinking about possibly spending some time there and was wondering if there was any decent offorad racing around there.

Looking for XC, Harescrambles, GP, Sprint Enduro and Enduro type events and any decent trail riding.

There used to be a Sprint Enduro Series in Oklahoma but I think that is gone now.

The BJEC series has a few races within 2-3 hours of Wichita, Sept 12 there's a Sprint Enduro in Maramec. Followed by an enduro in Stillwater and another nearer Tulsa (an NEPG co-sanctioned race), both in October)

Jeeps Motorcycle club (don't let the name fool you, its a dirtbike/atv park) is right outside of Wichita, they host GP/hare scramble events a few times a year. https://jeepscycleclub.com/

Hallet GoldRush is a pretty huge event. about an hour south of Wichita. https://www.okgoldrush.com/ https://www.facebook.com/Hallett-Motor-Racing-Circuit-101355393258345/

I don't know much about trail riding situation around Wichita outside of Jeeps. I'm sure there are some small or private spots around though. The closest bets for lots of mileage are going to probably be The Stillwater Cycle Park in Stillwater Oklahoma (30 miles of single track), or Cross Timbers ORV in Oklahoma City (55 miles of single track). Both within an hour of driving south of Wichita. (Stillwater is hosting the AMA East vs West National Harescramble November 7th) Jeeps, Stillwater, and OKC all require $ memberships to ride there, small price to pay IMO to have such nice facilities available within short distances.

@swedishfishmx... I have shuttered my series (OkieSprint Championship) for the foreseeable future. I might do a one-off event at some point though.

Good information guys. Thanks a bunch.

An hours drive is pretty comparable to what I have to do now just to ride. Racing is 1 to 3 hours, sometime a little more. So that's pretty comparable to what I'm doing now. Very cool.

There are races within an hour of wichita. Jeeps has a harescramble series.

It used to be more races, but it seems like they have taken a few races off the schedule.
