I was looking for a 501 and wanted street legal.
The local dealer just got 2 but they are fe model.
They have a lighting kit they will put on to be street legal. I actually like this idea because it will be a little more power and already have tires i would have to buy. I'm hoping someone has some input and experienced advice. What do you guys think?

Much better choice. Bike is Way better than the FE 501s. So much garbage on the S model that you really don't want or need. You will like the FE MUCH better.

dont know how it works in FL but in CO you need DOT approved tires to pass the inspection. id look into what it takes to become street legal so you know.

Standard FE 501 is the way to go if you can plate it in your state. Buddy of mine just ironmaned the Baja 1000 on one. Great bike and plenty of usually power, way less restrictive than the “s” version.

I'm also looking at Beta 390 and 430. I definitely want a plate and after reading dozens of test it seems like a good option. The closest dealer is an issue. 5 hr drive. Husqvarna 40 min.
Any ideas or suggestions are surely appreciated

Hey, I know it’s been a few months now, was wondering if you picked up a bike yet and if so which one? I am in the same predicament currently as you. Thanks in advance.

fe501s in Cali pretty easy to uncork and mod. I feel either bike - if you can get one - is a great choice. I have a 19 fe501 and will ride it for at least the next 5 years.
