When will we see it? I thought it was coming out in September. I don’t see any dealers around me with it in stock. Did I miss it?

Looking to get a dedicated woods bike as my current ride is a Kx250f turned woods machine.

I actually do love my 4t. Maintinence is a pain but also fun. Actually getting ready to adjust the valves now. I do not know if I’d be faster on a 2t or not. I feel I have a lot more laid back riding style with the 4t and a better flow than I remember on a 2t. I know I’m faster than when I stopped at 19. I haven’t been on a 2t in over 10 years as I took awhile off from the sport and came back on a 4t. I love my current bike. I’m faster than I’ve ever been. But I have a huge disadvantage without the Majic button and my races being dead engine start. The kx requires TDC every kick to start so it’s quite the process. I start dead last every race. Also got the bike just to see if I was going to get serious about the sport again. And well I’m at the gym training, practicing 1-2 times a week, and racing once a month or more. So I’m serious enough to invest in a new machine dedicated to the woods. I’m open to any bike. The FX, X, XC, XcF. Just know I’m comfortable on a 4t and not sure if I want to risk the $ on not liking the 2t.

Absolutely love all 4 250FX’s I’ve had and I’m back on one now after a year on a YZ250X- but dead engine starts are not it’s forte- only bikes I can beat off the line are other button only 4T’s. If starts are that important get a 2T- otherwise grab an FX and enjoy all it’s strengths- I know I do!

How do you like the 250X compared to 250FX?

I know I’ll catch a lot of flack for this but I honestly feel like the 250X is overrated. Solid bike but not magic like a lot of guys seem to think. Same suspension as the FX but not nearly as compliant and I feel like they detuned it too much. It really lacked roll on power off the bottom. If I was 25 again it would probably rate higher but as a senior rider now it just didn’t have the comfort I wanted. Also a very notchy gearbox- I constantly missed 2nd to 3rd upshifts under power. Huge bonus points for weight, starts and simplicity though! Oh and that sound....LOL!
