2007 yz125 transmission oil

Hey so I’m very new to the whole working on bikes thing and I’m tackling my first engine rebuild on my 2007 yz125. Im trying to figure out what oil to put back in the engine. Some people call it transmission oil and some I’ve seen call gear oil. I’ve also seen some suggestions for different year models for both SAE 10W-30 and others saying an 80WT. I am just trying to figure out what to put in so I don’t screw it up. Also a different question for my fuel mixture can I just use regular 2 cycle oil to mix with the gas or is that a special oil as well?

I have always used putoline GP10 gear oil it is 75W. Never had any problems with it. For the 2 stroke oil any high quality 2 stroke oil will be fine like Putoline RS959 or Motul 800.

This may get the haters comments (there are numerous threads on this throughout the web). I've been using Rotella T 15w40 for a number of years now with no ill effects. About $20gl. I change about every 2hrs of ride time.

Using Maxima Super M @ 40:1 for over 30 years. Good stuff.

I’ve used this stuff for the past 3 years with no ill effects in all my 2 strokes. Great stuff

I use the lucas 80wt in my yz250, never had any issues with it. Keeping it fresh is the most important aspect no matter what oil you use.
