Anybody attempted to convert the KTM TPI ( 250-300 ) with dual cables, 4 stroke style throttle, grip and housing...
with the 2 stroke single cable, throttle grip and housing?
I read something about the dual cable been a lawyer cable. Push-pull pulley thing.
There are kits out there that use a single cable in the four stroke/dual cable assembly by removing the return cable and plugging the cable holes in the throttle housing and the throttle body.
Manuel Lettenbichler runs that setup .
Just wondering if swapping to the entire traditional 2 stroke housing would work.
Slavens says you need a special cable. The throttle grips come with different cams, so any disparity in cable length/pull could be dealt with I'd think.
