ever played. MJ is now down a notch in history and Lebron isn't a winner.

History in the making is happening right now.

i am no basketball guy, but i don't know how you can say this. He still doesn't have as many championships, and he has never won defensive player of the year (to my knowledge). Kobe is a damn good player, but he is no MJ yet.

In this yrs playoffs Kobe is playing the best I've ever seen him--very MJ like.

Some of the shots he made against the Suns with guys in his face and falling backward were unfreakenreal! Woohoo The media has said the same thing, as well.

He's on a mission for sure, he singlehandedly beat my beluved Suns, if he had just one avg game, we culda/shulda/wuda been in the Finals imo...

exactly. MJ did that for 14 years, then came back at 38 Y/O and averaged 22 PPG. Kobe got his game from watching MJ films. Kobe even learned how to womanize from the master, he just couldn't keep it under wraps like jordan did.

I agree 100%. I hear about how Jordan had a good supporting cast from the ESPN guru's all the time. No he didn't. Pippen was good but not great like some think. Rodman was a good defender. After that they really had noone else. Before these playoffs started
everyone on ESPN was saying Lebron was going to be the best ever. They quickly jumped off that bandwagon after the Celtics took down the Cavs. I do think Kobe is the best in the game today though.

Jordan was more of a team player.

Kobe seems to single handedly beat down my Jazz every single year in the playoffs...If I didn't enjoy watching him so much, I wouldn't like him at all.

From a strictly ball player perspective, he is amazing to watch.

Kobe may be better is some eyes, for me, it's always gonna be Michael Jordan.

I loves the MJ.

MJ would shut down kobe AND drop 30 on him. Why? Because he hated to lose worse than any bball player I have ever seen. He also loved a challenge.

Saying Kobe is the best ever over Jordan is like saying Ryan Villopoto is the greatest ever over Carmichael.

Compared to Bill Russell, Kobe, Magic and MJ are playground players . During Russell's career he led the league in total rebounds on four different occasions. He was also the leading rebounder in the playoffs in nine different seasons. Russell was named to twelve straight All-Star Games and was voted the league MVP five times. He earned 11 Championship rings in 1957, '59, '60, '61, '62, '63, '64, '65, '66, '68, '69 ( 3 of the Championships were earned while Russell was a player/COACH).

Pipen and Rodman.... Rodamn arguably one of the best defense and rebounders that game has seen. Jordan is number one of all time. Lets call it like it is though. Kobe is a bad ass. He is the best in league... no doubt. Lebron is a bad ass... number two... and media darling. I love Kobe's passion, work ethic, and intensity
