2nd favorite race behind Lamans24.

This year is gonna be a good one with team sky having Wiggins and Froome and Porte.

The infighting on that team could get ugly

The cobblestones on the 4th day .,

The 1st stage out of england looked sketchy.

Froome wins a yawner unless Contador has something for him. Wiggins isn't riding Le Tour this year. I'm pulling for Talansky and Teejay van Garderen.

Ya no Wiggins this year, guess the team was picked to help Chris Froome repeat and Wiggins wasn't to happy. Still team Sky looks stacked and ready to repeat.

Hope TJ van Garderen does well

My old man and his buddies are driving up to watch the opening two stages in Leeds and York this weekend.

Cycling's pretty big up there but I still don't really see why the Tour should start in the UK.

Our local guy got left off the Garmin squad again this year so I'll probably pay a lot less attention than I otherwise would have. Today's the third anniversary of his stage win, though!

Not sure who's going to win this year. Chris Froome is in poor form so far this year and fell apart after leading in the tour of Switzerland a couple of weeks ago. Contador isn't even the best rider on his own team! Giro winner and last years TDF 3rd place Nairo Quintana would show him a clean pair of heels but was left out in Contador's favour.
Wiggo's purely riding track for the rest of the year, hoping to win a Comonwealth Games gold for England I suppose.

Especially looking forward to Monday the tour will be within a 15 minute cycle ride from my house - once in a lifetime! Smile

Wiggo's been fairly quiet since the '12 Tour win. It sucks Quintana's not in this year's race. Sagan's another one I like to watch. Dude can explode and get a gap quick. Maybe he'll grab podium girl's arse again if he wins a stage.

Good find Hillbilly. Sagan is cycling's version of Jimmy Weinert.

I find it funny that a lot of people commenting on it are acting like those girls are scantily dressed! Weird!

If Schleck is riding,
I'd like to see him do good this year. Maybe he will be on form this year.

Stage 2 just wrapped up, epic day. Pro cycling is anything but boring once you learn what is actually happening. There are several races within the race and the tactics and strategy is amazing. Started watching about ten years ago and hooked ever since.

Yep, a lot of fireworks today, Sir Roost. Sky and T-S can rest a bit while Astana defends the yellow jersey. Odd tactic for Froome to burn matches going for a stage win on an early, flat finish. Sagan shouldn't have let an on-form Nibali get that gap.

Andy crashed going into London, never heard if he lost time.

Froome just wadded 2 miles into the stag on straight road.

He is skinned all to hell. Up and going..

Contador and Quintana are on different teams.
Quintana would have been my pick to win but he isn't racing le Tour this year, focused on the Giro instead.

Today's stage (4), started in Le Touquet. I think that's where they used to have that beach race that drew about 1000 riders back about 20 years ago. Anyone know If that event still runs?

Cobblestones tomorrow,

Remember George breaking the stem and his bars coming off?

He was two minutes back after yesterday. Was watching the race today and they said he dropped out with turn ligaments in his knee from his crash yesterday. Super bummer.

Yep, all the GC riders are crapping their pants about tomorrow's cobbles. The Tour won't be won there but it could quickly be lost for a GC rider. After his crash today Froome will be bouncing across cobbles with a bum wrist...ouch.

Yes, my mistakeSad
I was confused with Alejandro Valverde, (can't think why!) who demanded to be team leader on The Tour this year..

I didn't realize until after Stg 1 when I was looking for results and didn't find Quintana. He is still very young so there is plenty of time for him to go for a win, provided he stays "clean".

Froome down again ,in rain. At least it was on his right side, now he is balanced, scabs on both hips.

They took out 2cobble sections for safety. They are covered in snot slick mud.

Riders are crashing all over and are still 25 miles from the first cobblestone section.

Since the last doping issues of Fränk,they never reached their top form.Of the Schleck-brothers,Fränk is in better shape this year.

Froome crashed again,abandoned the tour.

Kittle wadded up to. Lots of crashes, still not on the cobblestones.
7/9/2014 6:51am
Pouring rain nasty conditions. Froome hit the deck 3 times before even reaching the cobbles. After 2 crashes yesterday and 3 today he looked like he got run over by a truck and could barely walk. Very sad.

Just read on the news some big Tour news. I don't want to spoil it for anyone so you can look it up if you want too. I'll watch the broadcast tonight.

People taking selfie's are a big problem, causing 1/3 of those crashes.

Watched Schleck's crash and they shown where a rider in front of him hit a dude standing out in the road taking pics got hit and knocked the person on his ass and not far back Schleck went down

Probably trying to stop from hitting or tieing wheels from the riders slowing for the idiot out in the road
