You're asking this bunch for etiquette advice? You need a more cultured circle of e-quaintances.

But yes, it's bad manners.

I love when people belch at the table and think that's okay. "It's natural" they always say. Guess what else is natural. Taking a big steamy dump. What would they think if someone laid one of those down at the table? Just sayin'.......

Oh, and it's "their", not "there". And "hear", not "here". I'm not even going to bother with the rest of 'em.

I would much rather he blow his nose than walk around with snot running down his lip. By the way... What is that running down your lip? You may think it's funny but it'snot. Also, shouldn't this be in Moto?

I do the farmer's blow all the time. Never done it in a restaurant but I thought about it.

Ive got a buddy, older guy 67. Every so often he wants to stop and get lunch. Ive learned to just say no. It seems at the end of each meal (his because Im not a fast eater) he will blow his nose at the table. That usually makes me shove away whatever is left on my plate. Oh but thats not the end of it. Then he takes his napkin an twist it up to do the ream out job on the nostrils. Ok in a bathroom, not so much in front of a room full of diners. And he always holds up the mining implement an checks it out to see what ore samples are attached.

It's not ok...excuse yerself and do it in the bathroom. Used to be when you went out to eat you had certain expectations depending on the "class" of the place you chose. Nowadays you're just as likely to find inconsiderate morons at a $50 dollar a plate place as McDonalds. Same goes for air travel...when tickets were expensive the "nasty" people rode the bus...not any more. I don't want to come off as a snob but society used to police itself a little better....Billy Connelly said it best, "Times may change but standards must remain".

In college I would step out of a lecture to blow my shnoz. It's just not something that anyone enjoys noticing.
