I just upgraded from 3Gs, and man what a difference.. The phone is super fast for internet, and the battery life seems like it's double compared to my 3Gs phone. The screen is also incredible. Really happy I upgraded

a friend has one. It's definitely an improvement in all respects. But, I won't be upgrading unless something happens to my 3Gs...I've only had it for 8 months now.

Ya I had my 3Gs for exactly 1 year, but I like the latest and greatest gadget so I had to have it. The screen is trippy how clear it is.

I think I will keep my blackberry and get the IPod Touch 4 when it comes out later this month. it will have everything that the phone has minus the phone. Including the two cameras and Face Time.

it's definitely sweet. If you picked up a 3Gs then played with the 4, I think it would be about impossible to not want to spend the extra change to have the 4...but, except for a few things I wouldn't use ( video conferencing), it doesn't really offer enough knew bells and whistles for me to jump on it.

Does it come with a rubber skin for the interference issue?

$299 for the 32GB version + a 2yr extension

If you want the 16GB, it's $199 + the 2yr extension

Yep I paid $299 also for the 32gb model. I had my 3Gs model for exactly one year and they let me upgrade. Sold my 3Gs for $200 so didn't cost me much to upgrade

I've seen AT&T upgrades at 12, 18, 20, and 22 months. Depends on how much you're spending, if it's on a family plan, primary line, etc.

it's not cheap, but, me and the wife dropped the land line and pay ~$180/month for two phones. When the kid gets old enough, we'll have 3 lines.

Like Huck said the only issue is the screen sensor.


That said, it is 10 times the phone the 3gs was!!!


Everyone needs to jailbreak their phone though. I love facetime calls over 3g with the MY3G app on rock!! The quality is as good as wifi and it is awesome to see your wife in the middle of the day!!!

why is it 10 times the phone? Does it know the winning lottery numbers before the drawing? Does it make calls just by thinking about them? Does it have a blue tooth transmitter directly into your brain with no accessories?

I agree, I also upgraded and it is great. For me the speed and the clarity are the huge improvements over my 3g.

Use one for a little while then go back to the 3GS. You will swear something is wrong with the screen.

I am glad there are people like you out there though. I have sold one of my 3GS models for 300 and the other one will bring 350 as it is still brand new!!

The front camera sounds gay but me and all my friends now send video mail to each other and like I said FaceTime on 3G rocks!!

If I were buying today, sure I'd buy the 4 instead of the 3Gs...but, I'll wait until I've had mine for a while then upgrade to the 4.0.

I have my net settings on manual and I don't have a shit-load of app's on it...My battery lasts forever and my phone is jus' a "G"; so, it's old...

As for the 4?

The "White" phone will be a "Rev 2"...go ahead...tell me I'm wrong.

I'm gettin' a 4 when the 2nd rev comes out.

Also, my Geek-Source...a complete techno-guru-geek at e-Bay...had me use his i-Pad for a-while...the ass-hole...now I have to get one of my own...I'm gettin' to the point where I'm as techno-pathetic as all my friends...I was hoping that I wouldn't turn out like everyone-else I know...

well shit...if I can sell my iPhone for more than the upgrade costs, I'm on the train.

Guess I'll have to put a call in to the store.

Only issue I have is I have to get the new phone and extend the contract...oh, and I've only had the phone for 8 months. Not sure I'm eligible to do the upgrade.

Then here's my case: I really like the convenience of my i-phone/Safari and have my i-tunes all in the same pkg.

The i-Pad jus' makes things even more convenient when traveling (most notably flying...etc.)

I have an iPhone and iPad and NEVER (well, twice) used the iPad. For travel it is killer.

I got a new 4 recently and love all the things it can do. What i dont like is the crappy phone part of it, it blows. I had a Blackberry with Sprint and it hardly dropped calls, and sounded great. Now there is static, i have had two calls a day dropped at least. Maybe when i get the cover it will go away, hope so. I would not return it, i still love it.

I still have what I call the iPhone OG cause it was before even 3G came out. Really surprised it has lasted this long after the amount of times I've dropped it (thankfully I have a great hard case.) All I care about is being able to call, text, and occasionally use the google maps for directions. I'll only upgrade until this one kicks the bucket so hopefully it lasts long enough to see the iPhone 4 drop some in price.

It is nice.
The camera "flash" is really more of an LED light than a flash
The front camera lens is cool, good for travel pics and stuff
I does sure seem faster.
and it did not arrive with the rubber bumper

Mine said 4-6 weeks for the "rubber bumper". Have you noticed the screen turning on way too much when you're on a call?
