If you used a case on your original iPhone, be aware it may affect your new 3G
I used the DLO Jam Jacket w/cord mgmt
It seems the 3G has two (2) facial sensors to black out the screen when talking, while the original had one (1) sensor.
This additional sensor and I suppose reconfiguration of location is being disrupted by the case, making it impossible to hang up the phone when completing a call (screen stays blacked, thinking you're still on phone)
Otherwise, new version is awesome.
GPS is spot on and you can satellite google maps while in GPS and see movement, it kept up to 45 mph no problem, and that'd be a testament to the 3G speed.
Feels a bit lighter and the smoother edges make it feel smaller
New AC wall socket plug is smaller
Browser seems to cache a bit more when "going back" on the browser.
Black version gets very smudgy quickly
I regret getting black and will exchange for a white

On a side note, they gave me a mobile me subscription for free for all the problems. I may need some help understanding and using it. Do you like it so far?
I was hoping I'd be able to use the 20GB storage to use to attach stored docs to email sent from iPhone, that does not seem to be the case.
I'd like to see that change.
It does wirelessly (sp?) sync your iPhone, MobileMe and your desktop/laptop from anywhere. So if you add/edit/delete anything in your calendar or email, it does the same to everything else within seconds.
What is also neat is the photo upload feature...
Example: You are on a trip to say San Francisco, you take a picture of the Golden Gate, you can then send that photo up to your MobileMe account immediately and people can see right away...you can quickly and easily do a photo blog of your trip on the fly
You can stand in the pits at a race, take a pic of a bike or rider and get it online in your account faster than GuyB can get it on Vital...it is instantaneous.
You can have them all sync automatically, so all your mail, appointments, datebook, notes, etc...are all exactly the same at all times, no matter where you are
The Shop
If they offered apple oops, I would be all over it!!!

I am sure KTMBoy is eating this up, considering Win is so perfect and all
PUSH doesn't seem to be working yet either, or at least it's very spotty
Patience certainly has a different half life today.
and then I could remotely email that link from my iPhone, allowing anyone requesting it to download it.
While I realize this isn't what I wanted and is something that could be done on any web domain, at least the MobileMe system makes it easy to set up and do.
So it's a temp fix at this point I guess
Pit Row
On the Mac, no problem
On the iPhone, how do you drag and drop anything?
I was happy to see we can now save images from our iphone email box to the phone.
Probably faster too, as there's no upload or download on either end of the mail
