mine is from a nickname for the last 15 years or so.

i had just got home from the track with a buddy and was washing my bike in the driveway when some neighborhood kids came by and asked if i could peel out. my buddy told them, "we don't call him peelout for nothin". so i started up my bike and not thinking i laid a fat patch of rubber down the length of the driveway. got in some shit from my mom for that last part, but the nickname was born.

it used to be peelout719 (motonews and my early posting here) but changed because i got banned then reinstated but forgot my password and started the new account.

nice thread, Harry Sackman

How do you pronounce it?

In my head you are Cy-nun-gus...since like the motoworld days (at least I think you are a motoworld.com refugee...right?)...because in my head I always put the "n" in front of the "g".....but I THINK is should be cig-nus???

A freind of mine called me big daddy G one day. I am a big guy, who at the time just became a father and my last name starts with a G. Big Daddy G. Kinda stuck and seemed somewhat original.

I started out in 1971 on a Bultaco. Owned 7 Bultacos. Still have a Model 68 Bultaco. And thus am a Bultaco guy. Although I'll admit the best motocross bike I've ever owned was my '92 Honda CR 250.

Sorry, not trying to hi-jack the thread...but I've noticed that myself and others have mentioned never intending to actually post, and then winding up with thousands of them, haha. How many of you fall into that category?

It's all good. Hijack away! Me? I came to post. I was so jazzed about getting back into MX that I couldn't get enough of being around and talking to moto people, so I ended up here. I've met some cool people here, both in person and in e-mail exchanges. I don't really know how it works outside Florida and Georgia, but the people I've met since getting back into it are the best.

My brother and I started Daystar in 1977. We were originally Daystar Motorcycle Products and we made fork boots, hand grips, etc. Basically anything injection molded for dirt bikes. (Closest moto-claim-to-fame is when Marty Moates won the '80 Carlsbad USGP he was using Daystar grips, front number plate, helmet visor, and fork boots - Now we're pretty much just Jeep and off road truck stuff.) And of course my number's been 99 forever.

My Mexican friend always used to tell me "Hay que crecer un par de huevos, maricon." Not sure what that means, but I took it as a compliment. He and all his friends called me "huevos chiquitos" all throughout high school. They told me it meant "cool kid". So in short, I picked "Huevos" because it reminds me of the only friends I ever had in high school, besides the yard duties and the lunch lady, of course.
Hay que crecer un par de huevos, maricon

When I played arcade video games as a kid they only let you enter 3 character names for high scores. Since Randy wouldn't fit I used RAD, short for Radical. Then when America Online was around I tried to use my first and last name as my username and wouldn't you know, it was already taken. So I used Radical. It just kind of stuck.

Heart transplant in 98, FreshTopEnd seemed like a proper moto handle when I signed up for MotoTalk in 2000.

I miss my 69 Mach 1 more than any other vehicle I owned. And not only because it would now be worth a lot more than I bought or sold it for.

Basically, I was born and raised at Indian Dunes. But, as the story goes, I won a big NMA Amateur National at Indian Dunes on 60's, and while my pops (Gary Lamb, Manager at Indian Dunes) was looking at the results board, he overheard a dad saying to another dad "Oh, that 's Danny Lamb. His dad runs the park so the kid can only win here." My dad asked him where his home track was?" He told my pops Barona Oaks, so we went to the next big NMA Amateur National race at Barona Oaks and my pops thought it would be fun to put "Daniel Dunes" on the back of my jersey. The story is even better because I won at the Barona Oaks race as well.

Yeah there is. Feels good looking back, seeing those names, and seeing I got a paragraph in the Cycle News write up. Smile
