Yeah.

This is what the games are about. People not thought to win winning.

Just watched women's skeleton and this girl from Nigeria who took up sliding 4 months ago makes it down all 4 runs. She was last and all over the track but she made it. All the fans were yelling for her.

Kool stuff.

I've always thought that Downhill and Super G racing has a lot in common with MX.

As does boardercross. Ticked me off when during the women's final the announcer said "This is NASCAR on ice" What?

No doubt. The cornering, terrain, and jumps are similar. A lot of alpine skiers use MX for training.

Congrats to the girl that won the gold - that was impressive. I definitely felt bad for the gal that got bumped down to the silver - Anna Veith, who is my favorite ski racer and she is still trying to get back to her old form after a serious knee injury a couple of years ago.

I have sold a dozen or so mx bikes at my former dealership in Calgary to current and former Canadian National ski team members, including a few Olympic medalists/world cup winners. All have been a pleasure to deal with, and killer hook ups for ski gear.

I was watching a live feed and didn't know NBC had cut away calling the race after 17 skiers.

Guess they learned that one.

I am watching the women's downhill training runs. Vonn went out about 10th and had 7 hundredths to the good then stood up before the finish to muddle the time.

Shiffrin looked good for being new to the type of event . she lost a little over a second.

Stacey cook went right before shiffrin and finished her run then as shiffrin skied thru the finish they cut to Stacey who was laying at the exit gate crying in pain holding her leg.

No idea wtf. There are no commentator s .it is just a live feed with at point sound.

15min

One of the trickery parts is hundred yards from start. A side hill washboard.

Saw one girl in training stiff leg it and pogo all the way over getting backside and gone.
