Does the acquisition mean that they will be making parts for some of the older models? I've seen a few really cool Buell's for sale for cheap lately, and was wondering if part of the reason is lack of parts availability......

It's based on a Sportster engine. There's parts everywhere.

Not for quite some time.

They're based on a Rotax 1190cc engine. Liquid cooled, 72 degree v-twin making 185 hp.

The Sportster based Buells were still being built along with the Rotax models until Harley pulled the plug in 09

Yeah, 11 or 12 years. Along with the Rotax motor as well.

The 1125r Rotax motor was a real good riding bike. So much tighter than the Harley powered bikes. I told the Buell rep, put the 1125 motor in the Ulysses package ... yeah it was no.

Cycle world story- more pics including hillclimb bike

No mention of an EV in the mix.

Interesting. Who is buying these things? Don't get me wrong- I hope they thrive. But someone in a back room must have a gift for persuading investors.

The pics of the hillclimb offering are cool, but how many of those will they sell? Talk about a niche of a niche.

The article references them expanding into different displacements and planning dirt offerings, hopefully more than just a heavyweight adventure and a hillclimber.
