Interestingly enough, very few hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico thus far.

We got one day of thunder and lightning in the mountains but that was it. Not much at all. We haven't had much rain here in a few years. I'm with Dougie, I really hope we get some rain and snow this year.

Interesting BBC article:

An inconvenient truth about global warming

http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/today/tomfeilden/2009/09/an_inconvenient_tru…

The global warming narrative - that mankind's addiction to burning fossil fuels is rapidly changing the climate - may be about to go seriously off message.

Far from suggesting the planet will get warmer, one of the world's leading climate modellers says the latest data indicates we could be in for a significant period of steady temperatures and possibly even a little global cooling.

"How did the garden do this year Dougie?" Had a great garden this year. We broke down and bought 7 yards of topsoil that was all jacked up with fertilzer and the Garden looked like a Miracle Grow Commercial. Even our fruit trees benefited from the dirt piled around their bases. Cantelopes, Tomatoes, Potatoes, Carrots, Beets, Lettuce, Onions and the fruit trees (apples, pears, and lemons ) all did fantastic. Only thing that wouldnt grow was Cucumbers. Just got a few. Maybe bad seeds. " />" />" />

"Interestingly enough, very few hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico thus far."

Yeah they really blew that forecast this season.

actually, the article title and introduction is misleading. The guy says the globe will cool for a few years, then get warmer again.

What I'm pointing to is the intermediate prediction between the two reports is in two completely different directions.

Anyone with half a brain would question how these two respectable sources could be going in completely opposite directions.

Yeah not sure why the pics didnt work. The well: yeah we had water this year but we pump alot of air along with the water. If I stand there with a hose in my hand it sputters and spits (like a $20 hooker) Im down right at 300' most of my neighbors are down from 600' -1200'. I think drilling is now around $20/ft so Im in no hurry to have it drilled deeper.

I think the aquafier may be drying up.

I was reading where the Ogalala Aquafier was being depleated at a rate of 5 foot a year and was being replaced naturally at a rate of about 1/4" a year.
