I feel bad for this lady losing an eye but when did people stop taking reasonability for themselves? Opinions on her suing over this? I'm sure she will get a settlement of some sort but I feel things like this kind of ruin events down the road for everyone involved... (what does she want Mathis "safety nets" all around the golf course next?)

Yep, it's pretty hard to believe that anyone who would attend an event like the Ryder Cup would have no idea what the hazards involved were.

I don't know about France, but here, she would win easily. It's in the best interest of the legal community to win huge lawsuits regardless of merit. Plus, if it ever gets to a jury, they love to stick it to the "rich".
