I'm self diagnosing so could easily be wrong. Fucking ENT cant see me until September.
Anyway, was having dizzy spells off and on . Started about 6 months ago. Now it's constant and my right ear seems to be plugged up or something. Damn near fell down today.
I was watching golf a couple years ago and Jason Day dropped to his knees on the side of a green. Vertigo.
Anybody have any experience with this?

I don’t , but my daughters boyfriend had it this summer. He went to physical therapy for a few weeks to end his issues with it.

Sounds like BPPV. It's when crystals in your inner ear get in the wrong place. Had it a few years ago.

Sounds like you need another major get off, and rattle that stuff loose.

You might have some neck issues/
Any concussions or whiplash lately? Anxiety or stress?
There are a lot of muscles in your neck directly related to vestibular function. SCM, scalenes, etc.

Menieres disease will mess up ur equilibrium and cause dizziness or vertigo. It has to do with the equilibrium function of the inner ear I believe.

Very uncommon condition. No sodium diet if you have it.

You can also try using a nasal spray like Flonase.

Went to bed last night with about 10% right ear hearing and trouble negotiating the front steps. Woke up with most of my hearing back no dizziness or spinning sensation. I wonder if my usual tossing and turning shook something loose.
Otherwise WTF?

After my ride on the hood of the car resulting in a TBI with 45 days in hospital and PT I still had vertigo. After going in for a hearing test where I puked the nurse did some quick tests and she said she could not fix it but the doctor would have too do the procedure. She then said to search on youtube for vertigo and to do the treatment your self. We went home and fixed it in 10 minutes and have never had it again.

Shit is back. Tried the Epley and could not bring about any dizziness. Tried both sides twice.
Must be something else.

Regular doctor will see me on Monday. Hopefully I can keep it on 2 wheels until then. I keep wanting to circle to the left. Maybe I can find an oval track.Grinning

I’ve had the same thing on an occasional basis for 10+ years. When it hits me it’s about a 2-3 day event. Starts as plugged ear and progresses to dizziness and then puking from the dizziness. Been to ENT’s and they can’t seem to figure it out. I think it has to do with my sinuses. A couple things that seem to help is avoid all salt and especially caffeine when I feel it coming on. Stay hydrated. I use prescription Nasonex every day and that helps keep my sinuses more clear. I think OTC Flonase should do the same thing.

I feel your pain brother. It is pure hell when it comes on bad for me. Wish I had better advice for you. See the ENT and see what they say. It seems everyone is different so I hope they can help.

I was getting vertigo at different times and couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. I went to an ENT and he ran different test. He first prescribed a couple of nasal sprays to see if that would help. About a week before I had my second appointment, I was standing and talking to my daughter when all of the sudden, I got dizzy to the point of having to sit down and getting nauseous. I told my doctor about it and he thinks that it could be something called MAV Migraine Associated Vertigo. He said that he could prescribe me a particular antidepressant that helps with MAV, but first he wanted to try taking magnesium and B2. So, twice a day, I take 400mg of magnesium and 200mg of B2. I haven’t had any vertigo since. This may not be your problem, but it is something you might want to check.

I had it for about 8 years. Every time I would move my head up to look at something, I would blackout and lose my Balence. Tried physical therapy for a while without much success. They would do the eply maneuver and I would pretty much feel worse afterward. Went to ENT , was told it was chronic and would have to live with it( Pretty sure my doctor sucked). Been about a year since I’ve had any symptoms. Thinking about trying basketball again and going after pop-ups in Softball lol. The last 8 years in softball I wouldn’t go after pop ups in the infield because I would look up, blackout and fall down. It started to get a little embarrassing.

I had that, was so bad thought I was going to quit work, chased it for a year. Found the right Dr, had surgery, 10 years later going strong, except lost hearing in ear.

This will sound dumb at first. Suck on hard sour candies for a few days. This will cause your salivary glands to work overtime, possibly clearing the eustation tube to relieve the pressure in your ear. Wife had to do this for a week and then return to the ent. That was many years ago.

Worth a try, you drink enough and everything goes away.

Oh, dude. I had a hot doctor once. Her PA was even hotter.
I'm glad I never needed any kind of exam from her or I might have embarrassed myself.

I'm either one or the other. Beer either amplifies the pain x10, or resolves it lol

Your other thread sure turned into a dumpster fire.
That guy did not do himself any favors.
And I really do hope it works out for you.
