VFR approach at EAA

Here's how the VFR planes are brought into Oshkosh during EAA week. With around 10,000+ planes in and out during the week the radar is somewhat usless so they run VFR planes up a corridor. The first part of the vid shows how not to tie down your plane. Pilots fault.
Just thought thought some of you would like to see it, and yes they've been doing it this way for years successfully.

Holy cow...so many things have to go right for that whole scene to work. Bummer for the folks with damaged birds.

Last Saturday it got real messy around the region. Two tornadoes confirmed and thousands of trees down. So yeah properly over-tying down a plane was critical. EAA is such fun event highly recommend to any person, aviation buff or not. I go every few years for at least one day.

You know I lived 50 miles from Oshkosh for many years and never made it to EAA. I think I screwed up.
