Russians just started second wave of offence.

Mostly from twitter accounts of people who are there(commanders of ukrainian batalions) and war journalists who`s also there. Sometimes you can`t trust Russian or Ukrainian mainstream median. Sorry, you definitely can`t trust Russian media.

Funny thing - Ukrainian army generals are so corrupt that battalion commanders (especially volunteer battalions) often tells the truth that you don`t hear in the media.

Here is my personal opinion and I`m no war specialist so take it for what it is.
This is a decoy offensive to throw off ukrainian army. Real offensive will be toward Mariopol which has been their target all along. Russians need to connect Russia mainland and Crimea (which is basically an Island with only road under Ukrainian control). Right now they have very hard time supplying Crimea, plus, they want to place nuclear warheads in Crimea.

Ha, during attack two brand new russian tanks surrendered to Ukrainians. Each team will be given 1 million dollars, ukrainian citizenship and an apartments in Ukraine.

They did the same in Crimea when assaulted ukrainian army base. The same in Donbass.

Perhaps you should look in to Ukrainian hospitals, too. Russians started it, Fascists my ass. While that story is tragic it`s nothing extraordinary. They found some bum alcoholic and made him a journalist. Just like Russians found a bum alchoholic doctor from Latvia and made him an expert in Donetsk. When latvians looked in to his history, he had his license pulled 20 years ago. Keep on believing or selling this stuff. This is in a same category as famous boy who was supposedly nailed to the crest in front of his mother by ukrainian solders. Year later there is still no sign or evidence of it ever happening, but there is plenty of evidence that it has been made up by russian propaganda. They even admitted it.
Ukrainians are fighting for their freedom. They don`t want a repeat of 1938-1939 when russians killed 7 million ukrainians in just two years. That`s worse than Nazis on Jews. And Russian propaganda is working just like Socviet and Nazi propaganda did before WW2.
It`s easy for you to spew this bullshit from far away in Italy. I live just 200 km from Russian border.

It`s a memoirs of a latvian officer who served in soviet army. It`s about atrocities russians committed on their way and in Berlin after WW2.
There is a chapter about a girl 11 years old who he saw afterwards with his own eyes. Russians solders raped her for hours and hours. She died right there and doctors said she was long dead when they were still raping her.
They raped and killed women by thousands along the way. Here in Latvia many families hid their daughters in the woods to escape such fate.

Anything is better than russians. We are the member of NATO. If Russian's try and succeed with taking over some small NATO country like Latvia, it will send a message that NATO is haox and means shit. I understand that country's like Germany and France would not want to go to war with Russia over some small country that half of Europeans don't even know exist. Putin is very sentimental and crys about a collapse of USSR. If he sees the weakness from western world, he'll try to restore Russia's influence in Eastern Europe. They've been trying to challenge all the laws made by Jelcin's administration in 90's. For example - Russia accepted Latvia's independence in 1991. Now Russian parliament's lawyers are looking in to it and trying to declare it as unconstitutional.

Putin today acknowledged that Russian military are in Ukraine, conducting specific operations.
