We are in Phoenix for the UFC fight. Here with my bosses and some co-workers and hanging out with Douglas Lima, Dhiego Lima and Roan Carneiro. My boss trains with Douglas and Dhiego. Of course we are here to support Dhiego!

A buddy I train Jiu Jitsu with fought in the WSOF in the same weight class as Justin Gaethje so I've followed his career in the WSOF and now UFC. Exiting fighter but takes too much damage. Tough as any top fighter though.
But if he fights someone with the power and accuracy as McGregor it won't go 4 rounds.
Since McGregor doesn't have a title to defend and will be losing sponsors, we may see him again sooner rather than later.

Gaethje said today he only has 5 fights left in him. I'll he surprised if he has that many. If they're all the same style as he always fights, his brain is going to be moosh after 5 more. It's sad really. The guy is a warrior but he takes too much of a beating every fight.

I've seen him stop two guys from leg kicks, there may be more. It almost looked like that was going to happen again.

it was a good idea to host it there. No scheduling conflicts with NHL playoffs in the near future

Gaethje has some potential, but why he decides to just cover and take the beating doesn't make since. He is an all American wrestler, there are times it would definitely benefit him to take it to the ground, just to recover if nothing else.

What kind of work do you do and what's your Boss doing training for UFC ?

That shit is brutal, no idea why someone would sign up to get a beating.

That's what both DC and Bisping were saying before and after the fight. They both said he has the potential to possibly be the champ, but he needs to stop trying to walk down these heavy handed guys and put more wrestling in his game. I think he would have handled Poirier with wrestling, and his fight with Alvarez would have been just as awesome if they had gone to the ground.
