Is the job you do or are planning to do going to be available to you...or will they be taken by AI robots?
Universal Basic Income heard of it? Sounds pretty good robots take over the workload and humans get a free check from the government for life.
what a beautiful concept...in the right hands BUT in the wrong hands maybe a nightmare in the making.

Lots of good links in the info box

If you think crime, drug addiction, and single mom's with 8 kids is a problem now. Just wait till millions more people have no incentive to work.
Idle hands and all that.
The internet, I phones, AI, and a Socialist America will all be looked back upon as a tragedy. Just my opinion.

Check out the kindred robotics beginning to perform warehouse work for companies like gap and others. The possibilities of what they will soon be capable of achieving seem to be endless. Some who are a bit naive to ai technology seem to think these things will just create different jobs for us in ai and robotic fields. However, it appears that perhaps this technology will even be capable of sustaining and creating itself without human involvement?

We don't have to look back, just look around, although i do think we are sliding down a very steep slope.

On the other hand there have been people shouting about the "dangers of technology" for a long time. Some will keep their heads in the sand and say that is all that is going on here as well.

You can only eliminate so many jobs through automation. After a certain point the automated manufacturers won't have enough people with jobs to sell their goods to. A UBI is a way for the tech billionaires to stay that way, that's why they have started to float that idea.

Automation will create a crisis in third world countries like we have never experienced to this point. The geek squad in silicon valley recognize how quickly things are going to change. I saw somewhere that automated cars will eliminate a 1/3 of jobs, don't know if it's accurate but it's going to be a lot.

Perhaps, although it could just as quickly create perceived solutions for third world countries.

Id like to see an automated car navigate their way through a midwest snowstorm..should be fun!
