Trying to remember who manufactures these. It is a rail that mounts along the front of the bed to keep it from bowing when bikes are tied down. I believe there are options for attachments, ie: bike chocks, bicycle QR mounts, etc.

Help me out, please.

"E" Track works pretty good but that's probably not what you're thinking of.

Here is one, the bed buddy

I know there are others that have movable mounting tie down points/wheel chocks but the bed buddy name is the only one popping to my head at the moment.

Yeah, that's the one I'm looking for, with the mounting options, but the bed buddy is along the same lines. The one I'm thinking of had the mounts along the top, if my memory serves me...

This setup works great. Have it in the motorhome and wanting to wrap the inner lip of my truck bed with it. Tie down points are endless.

That's called "L" track. Here's another site with rails and attachments.

How strong is "L" Track? See the blocks of 12 PA cabinets in the air on each side of the stage? Each cabinet weighs around 250lbs without flyware.

Yea, I would go to an electrical supply place and get some of that square stock they hang lights on. It has a whole about every 1.5 inches. Unlimited mounting possibilities. I found some in a scrap pile.

A friend has a new Ford truck, I can't imagine getting a nut between the bed and cab, they are so close now.

I made my own with about 20 bucks worth of scrap steel and a little bit of welding. Works perfectly.

Bed buddy by ccr sports is a great product, and Universal makes one also.

Wow, sweet bike. But you should have taken the photo from the other side so we could actually see it....Laughing

I've had a CCR, and made my own. Not sure what to call the track(of the one I made) but the tie-down rings are removable and you can adjust their location. I like them both because they keep your bed from buckling. I will never buy one again because you can make it so easy.

The L in L track stands for Logistics track. It is originally made by Ancra and is intended for use in aircraft for cargo and clip in seats.

You can get it much cheaper here. Two 6-foot sections for $75.

It comes pre-drilled and countersunk so you just have to buy 1/4" pan head screws, washers, and nuts to install it.

You shouldn't have to put the nuts between the bed and the cab. Can't you reach up under the lip of the bed and put them there?

I will say that I don't think it would reinforce the front of the bed very much when you pull the bike against it. It is just aluminum, not heavy steel like the bed buddy, etc.

2 pair of these.

4 of these.

And 2 of these.

Put bike on stand, connect turnbuckle to tie down ring, other end to foot pegs, and tighten down.
No honking on the forks, no bending the front of the bed, no accidental hooking a cable or wire, and you could flip your truck on it's side and your bikes won't move.

^^^ Do that same setup except mount the L tracks to the floor instead of the D-rings. Then you are not limited to just one spot to put the bikes. Gives more flexibility.

Thanks, that's what I'm doing, TK. I'm looking for more mounting options than just motorcycle tie-downs, and more reinforcement than the aluminum track.

At one time, there was something on the market that looked like what I wanted, (QR mounts for bikes, etc), but haven't seen it in quite a while. Probably out of business.
