The Canadian Olympic Committee and Canadian Paralympic Committee announced that they will not send any athletes to the Olympics this year.

Certainly sucks for the athletes that I'm sure some have trained their entire lives for, not to mention all the venues and facilities that were all counting on a huge influx of cash,etc etc. . But it was the only prudent choice at this point. At least they are going to just postpone till next summer it appears.

This was inevitable. Just like for all of sport, this virus has ruined so much for athletes.

As a fan of many sports, I can forego my entertainment for the better health of our world.

I'd be willing to bet that they'll just go with a 3 year cycle and 2024 will go off as scheduled (barring some world changing event, of course).
