Sunset just north of Shelby Montana last night.


8C when I left the house yesterday, -3 when I took that, 180 miles south. 500 miles south, top of Monida Pass, on I-15, at 6800’, it was -21. Went to a blistering -12 in Dubois Id, 30 miles south. I left the Motel running, didn’t want my bananas to freeze, would’ve ruined breakfast.

Great pics.

Makes me want to ride, but the journey’s sometimes even better. How many awesome sunrises, sunsets, vistas have we all seen doing this sport. Most through the windshield!

Ha! G-man, just the set up to get down here. Big enough drive that I didn’t want to drag a trailer, and I only have a little utility flatbed anyway. Ran into winter on the way down, and fork seals seem to intensely dislike the temp changes, so it stayed toasty warm in the Motel Yukon. Plan is to rent the smallest U-Haul I can get, while I’m driving around down here. Last ride, strip it all apart, and burn home.

Kevin, I don’t eat breakfast anymore, just a protein shake and fruit. Started that in 15’, managed to lose some weight, and feel a lot better the whole day, too. I was worried it wouldn’t be enough nutrition for a a ride day, but it works. Been out of the truck for 2 months now, and I’ve really lost weight. Thought I was getting fat, because I was getting old. Apparently not. Cool

I wouldn't know what to do with myself without dealing with the human scum that have been given permission to drive when they obviously cannot !!
