There's apparently a big hunt for the guy now. A website is posting a reward to find and identify him. http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/offbeat/2010/10/07/pkg.cigar.guy.cnn?iref=allsearch

LONDON (LALATE) – Rupesh Shingadia (photo above) is the Cigar Guy at the Ryder Cup ; Rupesh Shingadia has been identified as the Tiger Woods Cigar Guy in tribute to Miguel Angel Jimenez. Mr Shingadi is an investment analyst at Threadneedle Asset Management.

He said on Facebook “Thank you everyone for your support and kind words! I cannot believe the responses I’ve got in the past few days!” Over the weekend, British news confirmed that Mr Shingadia did his Groucho Marx-style outfit in tribute to Miguel Angel Jimenez.

Rupesh Shingadia tells the Mail on Sunday “I’ve never done anything like this before, I’m just an ordinary guy who loves golf and follows Arsenal. If I had known the incredible reaction it would produce, the way that Cigar Guy has snowballed, I would probably never have pout on my costume.”

Shingadia says he bought the wig and moustache online, the Montecristo cigar from a tobacconist. The clothes were his own.
