That is an electric panel in the shower wall. Yes sir, bad thing. Being a home inspector in rural east Texas, I have tons of WTF pictures.

I found these in a 600v buss plug, with 16g wire on the load side. I've been doing this for 22 years and I'm not surprised by the things that people say are "good enough" if it works.

Anybody that cant solder any better than that should not be an electrician. A bad solder joint can lead to an unsafe condition.

Hell, why waste the time anyway?

While I do agree with you, why not just hook the wires together and eliminate the fuse altogether?

If he was any good he would have figured out why they were constantly blowing fuses.

Hahaha!

I've used side cutters for a tester more times than I would like to admit.

I build custom built in cabinetry on upper end homes.
I usually hit a jobsite in the framing, and rough in process to make sure outlets, gaslines, blocking etc....is where it needs to be.

Even on high dollar homebuilds some of the framer's shit I see makes me cringe.
Some of it flies right past inspectors.

So that's what that hole is for.

I've been chasing electrons for quite a while, but never thought of that one.

Shit, the plumbers an A/C guys F more things up.

"I gotta hang this blower somewhere, it would be easier here, but there's a roof brace. No problem, I have a saw."

Then we get red tagged for not bracing the roof.

I have cut hanging furnaces with zero regard for damages because our bracing had been cut.

You just use a claw hammer and cut the straps.

What's wrong with any of that?

As long as it works...

The J-Box is pretty awesome.

In all fairness, as Plumbers - our work is fucked by almost every other trade, throughout every stage of the house......

Not going to lie and will be transparent…. I am a good enough kind of guy, but in my defense I am from Tennessee
