I'll have to see one in the road. The videos I've seen are not flattering. Nicest way I could put it.

This car has grown on me, hated it at first. I’ve seen a few in person and it does look pretty sharp. Not thrilled about the name though, should be called the Galax-E.

Mustangs don't come with 4 doors or in a SUV/wagon configuration. The "E" in Mach E is for excrement.

They should have made it its own car and left the name Mustang out of it.

Actually ford used the spelling Galaxie back in the day, not the scientific galaxy, so they could have just used the original badge and made the e a different color or something.

I have a 2000 red GT convertible with 27,000 original miles on it. All stock. My wife and I use it in the summer a lot.

I've heard a few times now that ford is testing the waters with making the mustang it's own division within ford , basically like Cadillac is.

I actually suggested that name as part of an employee involvement program. I was politely told no, that it wouldn’t be considered.

Great minds think alike! Other options could have been the Model E, E-bird, or Tor-E-no

Which is very fitting given that I used to own a Torino and my dad currently has a Galaxie.

The 1400 isn’t quiet. It has exterior speaker that put out that electric whine. The sound in my opinion is a great sound. But the fact that it’s fake is pretty lame. A lot of cars anymore pump engine sounds into the cabin to make them seem more ballsy.
Like others have stated they shouldn’t call it a mustang it should be it’s own thing.

Put me in the group that thinks some of the current “gas” versions of these cars are just too fucking loud.

I live on a ridge that overlooks downtown Boise, and live no more than a mile away from “downtown”, with the BSU campus in between us and downtown.

So, we get a certain amount of background “noise”, and we kinda like it.

But some of these Mustang cars are retrofitting some exhaust on them that makes an open-pipe Harley sound like a sewing machine.

It is simply TOO MUCH.

When I am downtown, and you SEE the cars that are making this huge noise “footprint”, it seems to me like the Ford Mustang is over-represented in that group.

Anything with 1400 electric horses and that millennium falcon whine - well shit sign me up. Don’t care if that’s in a Honda Odyssey or a Dodge Journey. 1400hp is 1400hp.
