Not really a garden...just tomatoes. 1 patio, 1 Roma, 1 better boy and an heirloom. Planted from seeds. That better boy already has fruit. The last pic is wildflowers. I have 3 more much bigger beds with wildflowers. Trying to attract as many pollenators as possible. I love salsa, salad and slicers. Mater's mean summer to me.
I bought 5 acres of land last year with my parents and we're both building our own homes on the property. Finally just got all permits with final approval last week so foundations are being poured in a few weeks. My mom and fiance are huge into gardening. Going to be planting tomatoes, onions, lettuce, cucumbers, watermelons, pumpkins, etc. Those 2 will spend all day out in the garden while my Dad and I race around on ATV's. My foot should be healed up real soon, I can't wait to go riding again.
Gave up on tomatoes.
Squirrels get them as they ripen.
Rip them off, one bite, then drop them.
They leave peppers alone.

Plus my main problem has been pollenators. That's why I'm planting so many flowers and humming bird feeder. The last few years I've been using a battery powered toothbrush to "stimulate" and spread pollen.
I gave up.
I like jalapeños anyway.
For tomato newbies, some plants get huge. Don't waste your money on Home Depot tomato cages. I use 6" x 6" concrete reinforcement. It comes in 4' x 7' sheets. Roll it into a 4' high cylinder. But damn! The price of anything made of steel today is nuts.
Question for plowboy: how do you get your hands in there to pick tomatoes? Maybe the openings are bigger than they look.
I cut strategic holes for access.

I don’t know about profitable, we just do tomatoes, squash, okra, lettuce, corn, and a few other things we like to eat.
I know from looking...those tomaters are gonna taste sooo good...yer weiner's gonna poke out.
Man my tomato plants are struggling. Pulled some 2" long cutworms in the last couple of days. Even with good rains and watering they are so stressed from the heat. I go down to Oklahoma to visit my brother. He lives a couple hundred yards from the Arkansas river. He plants the seeds and that's it...no water, no attention whatsoever. Giant juicy mater's all summer. And he gives them away...fucking fucker
