As far back as I can remember I heard Kenny Rogers music in the background of my youth. My dad had all his LPs with the First Edition and of couse in the late 70s his solo work. I still have 'em and play them even now.

Damn near every car built back then was either a Gambler car or a copy of a Gambler car. The cars I wrenched on back then were JBEnt copies.

"Shake the dew off his lilly..." good movie.

RIP Kenny

RIP Brewster Baker.

Got to meet Kenny at a party my Dad was throwing when I was a kid. I was probably 12'ish, so summer '85, and all I wanted to talk about was "6 Pack", I had wore out the VHS I had watching it over and over with my friends, but I was lucky enough to get another copy. Anywho, we talked for a good hour because I was the only one there who knew anything about cars and motorcycles. Smile

I'm a little too young for Kenny Rogers, and I had no clue about his involvement with race cars. But damn this is a funny one...

Man, now I have to find a way to watch that movie. And The Gambler. Might just be a great afternoon for a Kenny Rogers marathon.
