So, I'm taking a break from the usual day-to-day crap...Log on to Vital...Non-Moto...the "Drummer" thread...
I watch the Buddy Rich and Animal video. I laff my ass off! Towards the end...I look at Buddys' "set-up"...you know placement of his drums, hardware, cymbals...etc.
I turn and look at my own kit...damn...what'ya know?
3 yrs ago, my wife got me a kit...after 20+ yrs of not playin'. It took MONTHS(!) to get the lay-out to feel right!
I wish I'd seen this damn video back then! Identical! Must be the "nature" of things.
Thanks for postin' that...made me laff my ass off. Especially when I turned around and found my self doin' the ol' "WTF?" as I realized...my kit is set-up jus' like that! (Coupl'a x-tra cymbals; but, that's jus' because of the bad-influences of "The Big Hair Era"..)
