Flying down to Copenhagen to attend a festival called «Copenhell» just to see and hear Tool. Haven’t heard them live since last album tour in 06/07. I’ve seen on Youtube that they have been playing some new songs from the upcoming album the last couple of months. Can’t wait! Seems like they will be doing quite a lot of touring before the new album is officially launched.
Anyone seen them live recently? After so much time off for other projects, and bands, do they still «deliver the goods?»

It's been years, but probably the best live show I have ever seen. I can't imagine Tool not delivering the goods!

Can't wait for the new album. Sounds like August release date.

I keep hoping the stars align and I can catch them somewhere live during the summer tour.

New album comes out August 30th. Maynard confirmed it.

Yep. Bad timing. I’d have had it on heavy rotation while driving around the country this summer.

I guess on the plus side, it’s August 30th of this year. I hope, anyway. Wink

Saw them live last night. It was awesome to hear two of the new songs. They were good, very instrumental, so reminded me of a couple of songs from the past two albums. They won’t be the main songs for most on the record though.

The festival is called Copenhell, so there was a lot of dark metal, so the sound guy totally messed up on the vocals. Maynard sounded muted and it was a little hard to hear the vocals properly on some of the songs.

Pleased, but a little disappointed in the sound not delivering the total picture. Not the bands fault. Carey’s drums were on point though
