I am looking into the State Farm "Drive Safe & Save" program.  I'm sure other insurance companies have similar programs.  I will use them on our daily drivers, not performance cars.  We will get an automatic 5% discount with the possibility of 15% total.  This is totally "Big Brother" watching you. It can be used if requested for traffic accidents. I don't need the extra savings, however every little bit helps I guess. I'm already getting 5% off for low mileage (under 7.5K/year).

What are your thoughts / pitfalls of this??

Anything they can use to screw you out of a claim, they will. Why give them more ammo?

"Our transponder indicated that you got within 2% of the speed limit six years ago, and that really puts you in a more risky group. We have to deny your claim. Oh, and your premiums have to go up too."
